The latest Made in the Midlands breakfast event was hosted by CeraCon on Thursday 27th April at their UK base in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

The German based mechanical engineering company CeraCon GmbH, was founded in 2000 and has its head office in Weikersheim / Baden-Wuerttemberg. A decade on finds CeraCon with approximately 100 employees, working in three business areas in different locations in Germany and abroad.

CeraCon are a specialist foam sealing technology business. Their unique single component, 3D foam application system represents the highest performing available on today’s market. As well as manufacturing and integrating our specialised equipment, we also offer a technical service to support sealing demands from Concept Design to Full Production integration.

Managing Director of CeraCon, Robert Jones explained: “We were shocked, we were really happy that around 45 people came. It is incredible to get that many people through your door to see you. Hopefully, people will leave us with a good understanding of what we do for whoever they bump into at these Made in the Midlands events.”

In weeks prior to the event, Robert featured on MIMTV and discussed how CeraCon's service offering can benefit their customers. Robert also talked about CeraCon's future plans to expand their factory, as he added: “I did the MIMTV interview and met David Rose from I M Kelly Automotive. He turned up today and immediately we have a business rapport. He is looking at applications and really likes what he sees and it is relevant to his industry and they are the perfect customer base for us, so these events are really important.”

With CeraCon’s established single-component foam sealing technology, you get the best performing robotic-based sealing process available. But with Contract Gasketing they now provide more. CeraCon’s Contract Gasket business in Leamington Spa is growing dramatically. New investment in capital equipment saw the company increase its capacity by 30% during 2016.

Made in the Midlands breakfast events aim to facilitate networking and business opportunities between MD’s and CEO’s of local manufacturing companies, as Robert concluded: “You won’t sell everything to everybody but you will make contacts. The trick is actually finding the time to attend them. The event felt really friendly and jolly due to the people who came, so I would urge people to attend these events as they are very important.”

Our next breakfast event will take place at Wolverhampton Business Solutions Centre and tickets are very close to selling out due to popular demand. You can still register tickets to our future breakfast events at Ecolighting, Star GB Micronics and Dura Automotive by visiting our events page here.
