Mark Taylor, Production Manager at CeraCon UK will be taking on a gruelling challenge over the upcoming summer weekend 13th to 15th July 2018 as part of the ‘Trailwalker’.

Trailwalker is the challenge of a lifetime; trekking across difficult terrain to conquer the 100km course in under 30 hours as a team of four walkers with two support members who are available at checkpoint areas only.

Mark has been a keen walker for many years, often walking 10s of miles over a weekend as he explores the country, but this will be tough – he has already booked off the following days for holiday as recovery time after the event.

“My main concern is rain and wet, muddy shoes – I’d rather be in sweltering heat covered in sun cream with lots of fluids than being soaked for 30 hours”

Mark is raising money for The Gurkha Welfare Trust and Oxfam. The Gurkha Welfare Trust ensure that Gurkha veterans, their widows and their wider communities are able to live with dignity after fighting side by side as allies to Great Britain in conflicts over the last 200 years.

This is achieved primarily through the provision of financial, medical and community aid in Nepal.
